My family LOVES Julia Donaldson books ever since our British friends gave us The Gruffalo, Stick Man, Room on the Broom and Zog over 7 years ago. We now own 10 Julia Donaldson/Axel Scheffler books (they're the best book duo!). The rhymes are catchy, the illustrations are unbelievable, and with our newest addition "A Squash and a Squeeze," there is a wonderful lesson to be learned. You will not be disappointed!

A cute story about learning to appreciate what you have. My son likes it.
Another wonderful book by J.D. I love the rhymes, my 18 month old loves to hear the story and look at the pictures. It has a nice positive message.
The book is not as good as most Donaldson's books. I mean it's an interesting way to teach that everything is relative in this world, but my 3 year old didn't find it very that interesting
We are a huge fan of the gruffalo books. This book is cute but not has good as gruffalo.
I was surprised that my daughter hasn't taken to this book as much as I thought she would. She loves farm animals, but this one just hasn't sparked as much interest as I thought. She is 2.5 years old. I myself love reading it though ;) The author has a way with words and I love the illustrations, I've bought a couple of books from this author and illustrator combo because I love their books so much.
This was really great! It reminded me so much of my mother and the kids got a kick out of it. Then you have the added benefit of a moral to the story.....
It's all about perspective. The rhymes are clever and the illustrations are hilarious. My 3 yr old loves it and so do I.
