Well, to be honest, I thought it was slow at first. Maybe because of the style of writing I was wanting to be sucked in from the very beginning. Like Dan (SPOILER) if I don't like it after the third page I won't read it. All I can say is WOW!!!! I totally got sucked in after page 3 and couldn't put the book down. I stayed up most of the night reading it. I wish I could be Ivy's friend because where I come from, friends don't let friends suffer stupidity from others. I would definitely kick Kristen, Alissa, Ginny, Laura and Chelsea a$$ and then wipe up the floor with the other bitch Jenna all while whistling the theme from Rocky. This book had me feeling like I could conquer the world. I was crying my eyes out by the end of the book. I want a Dan and friends like Ivy's.

Romance novels can be hit or miss with me and I was surprised at how involved I became with the story in "Damn, Girl. That Sucks."

Heroine, Ivy, lacks some needed chutzpah, but readers can see right away that her vulnerability to personal attacks that impact her personal love life, her work life, and her life in a house with other renters is so creatively woven throughout the first few chapters, we’re rooting for her immediately. Kopeck’s fast-paced, plot-driven story with its cast of characters against Ivy and supporting her is balanced with humor and emotional upsets via a few twists, turns, and loops. There isn’t any hard core erotica; however, it’s most definitely an adult book of romance.
You get lost in this book and find yourself cheerleading for Ivy! Beautifully written! Trust me you can't put this book down until the end
In a nutshell....I LOVED THIS BOOK! I enjoy a story where I can feel like I'm part of it. And I do with this one. I enjoyed Ivy very much and all of the relationships that she has. I'm not one that will read a book more than one time, But I will this one! I can hardly wait to see what this wonderful and imaginative author comes up with next!

Sometimes damaged is overcome. With love and determination it all worked out. The nudge from the girls helped Ivy open her eyes and her heart.
I really suck at reviews because I don't want to give anything away. I know people have different ideas about love and romance but I prefer this style of book where you don't see it coming but when you get to it you go through the whole gamit of emotions. Thank you Mary Kate for a wonderful read. I have only given one other book a 5 and it think it is well deserved. I hope other people find this book as wonderful as I did.
This is the first book I've read from this author..

In the beginning I wondered if I was going to keep going with this, and so glad I did. Holy Crap! The twist and turns! I felt so bad for Ivy, with everything she went through. I completely understand the meaning behind this Title.

Looking forward to reading more and I hope the author continues with Sasha and Matt's story, would really love to read about them and see where they lead to..
